Eldora Ann Huffman age 84 of Lake City passed away Sunday, February 14, 2010 at the Lake City Nursing Home.
Eldora was born October 2, 1925 in Winona, MN to Anton & Catherine (Brown) Waletzki . She married Earl Huffman March 11, 1944 in Austin, MN at Queen of Angles Catholic Church. They lived in Austin where they owned and operated Huffman Moving and Storage and Huffman Beauty Salon. In 1979 they sold the businesses, retired and moved to Lake City. Earl passed away August 5, 2001. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lake City. She enjoyed sewing, playing cards and she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Eldora is survived by two sons, Robert (Sharon) Huffman, Randy Huffman of Austin; one daughter, Penny (Darrell) Montgomery of Zumbrota; 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; two brothers, Floyd Waletzki of Eyota, Frank (Deloris) Waletzki of Austin; one sister Violet Smiler of Dolan Springs, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lake City with Father Richard Dernek officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the service at the church. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren: Randi Hegna, Lauri (Huffman) Kominek, Thomas Huffman, Annette Montgomery, Barry Montgomery, Darrin Montgomery.
