Evelyn Elaine "Dolly" Winsor, 88, of Red Wing, died on Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at Deercrest in Red Wing. She was born in Red Wing on April 26, 1921 to Amanda (Johnson) and David Winblad. She graduated from Central High School in 1939. After graduation she worked in the office of the Red Wing Shoe Company for several years. She married Willard C. Fischer in Red Wing on June 26, 1943. He passed away on April 4, 1947. She married Mark F. Winsor in Red Wing on April 14, 1951. They lived in Lake City, Minneapolis and Minnetonka where she worked as an office manager and bookkeeper in Minneapolis until they retired and moved back to Red Wing in February 1987. Mark passed away on February 17, 1989. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a past member of the American Institute of Architects Auxiliary and the Red Wing Country Club. She enjoyed feeding the birds as well as bird watching. She was an avid bridge player.
Surviving are her son, Alan and wife, Susan; three grandchildren, Emily, Alexander and Nicholas all of Ridgefield, Conn.; one brother, Wilbur "Soup" Winblad and wife, Patty of Rosemount, Minn., and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both husbands; parents; brothers, Ralph, "Pusa", Harold "Bear", Donald "Clump" and Vernon "Tump".
Funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 25, at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Wayne Walther officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, July 24 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and at the church for one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to First United Methodist Church of Red Wing or Fairview Red Wing Hospice.
