Elaine Kay Mida, 60, of Red Wing, died Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at her residence in Annandale, Minnesota. She was born April 8, 1952 in Red Wing, the daughter of Lyle and Sarah (Scott) Stewart. She attended Burnside School and Red Wing High School. She married William Cederberg on February 27, 1971, they divorced. On July 8, 1972 she married Leonard Mida and they divorced in November 1998. She was employed ay Mary's Supper Club, Nybo's, Red Wing Shoe, Red Wing Industries, Riedell Shoes, and Treasure Island. She loved camping, sewing, boating, fishing, and spending time with family and friends, especially her son and grandson.
She is survived by her son, Michael Stewart of Buffalo; grandson, Cody Stewart of Annandale; two sisters Ellen (Cecil) Varnado of Red Wing and Shirley (David) Sommerfield of Frontenac; three brothers, Lyle Jr. (Nolie) Stewart of Frontenac, Harry Stewart of Red Wing, and Jerry (Karen) Stewart of Red Wing; one sister-in-law, Wanda Stewart of Denver, Colorado; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant sister, Helen; and three brothers Alfred, George, and Charles Stewart.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at the Assembly of God Church, Red Wing. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Burnside Cemetery.
