ROCHESTER ? The funeral for Eileen W. Krahn will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mahn Family Funeral Home ? Rochester Chapel with Rev. Paul Reppe officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Stewartville, MN. Mrs. Krahn, 84, of Rochester, a lifetime homemaker, died Tuesday (Nov. 28, 2006) at Rochester Methodist Hospital. Eileen Wilma Schatz was born on the family farm in Pleasant Valley, Mower County, MN. She attended country schools and was raised in the Stewartville and Rochester areas. On Feb. 5, 1944 she married Glenn Fredrick Krahn in Stewartville, the couple moved to Rochester in 1947. She worked at Three Sister?s Clothing, Kubat?s Caf‚, and provided child care for hundreds of children over many years. He husband died March 30, 1980. She enjoyed embroidery, sewing, and crafts. Survivors include two daughters Glennis (Dick) Dickinson of Campbell, CA; and Lori Krahn-Bathke of Rochester; three sons Gene (Carol) Schatz; Bill (Nancy) Krahn, and Dale Krahn all of Rochester; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters Joan (Gerald) Hill and Ardell DeBough both of Stewartville; and one brother Delbert (Suzie) Schatz of Stewartville. Her husband and one brother preceded her in death. Friends may call one hour before the service Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Mayo Foundation for Cancer, Heart, or Diabetes research.
