egal R. (Art) Camburn

October 6, 1937 — March 17, 2013

Artegal (Art) R. Camburn died peacefully the 17th of March 2013 at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester, MN. He was born the 6th of October 1937 to Rheu and Donna (Dalrymple) Camburn in Muskegon, MI, where he grew up and graduated from Muskegon Heights High School. Art enjoyed a 15 year career at Howmet Corporation, in Whitehall, MI. He especially enjoyed his time working in their Tech Center in Plant Engineering. He then received his BA in Psychology from Grand Valley State University (Thomas Jefferson College), his MA in Industrial Psychology from Western Michigan University, and his PhD in Management from the University of Florida. Art's passion was to teach. He taught at University of Florida, University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh, and 19 years at Buena Vista University. Art married Sharon East on the 1st of September 1979 in Kalamazoo, MI. Art and Sharon retired to Red Wing, MN to enjoy the beauty of the area, and his lifelong interest in river and rail transportation.

He is survived by his wife Sharon Camburn, Red Wing, MN; children: Deborah (Randy) Brown of Whitehall, MI; Jeffery (Kelly) Camburn of Pickerington, OH; Ann (Pat) Rainbolt Jr. of Fruitport, MI; Patrick Camburn of Rock Rapids, IA; brother Bert Rowe of Buchanan, MI; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Additional survivors include his first wife Patricia Flint of Muskegon, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Donna (Robert) Muckey. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heifer International or Seasons Hospice. A private memorial service will be held at a future date with interment at Oakwood Cemetery in Red Wing, Minnesota.
