Edwin "Jim" Trebble age 86 of Lake City died Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at the Lake City Nursing Home.

Jim was born March 6, 1921 in Howard, South Dakota to Vincent & Gladys (Tuttle) Trebble. He graduated from Howard High School in 1939. He worked for his father in the family owned bakery. He enlisted in the Army Signal Corps in 1942 and served during WW II, he was discharged in 1946. Jim married Myrtle McCoy May 3, 1943 in Minneapolis. In 1950 they moved to Lake City where he owned and operated Trebbles TV & Appliance Store in Lake City for 33 years, he retired in 1983. Myrtle died February 16, 2001. Jim was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Lake City, Lake City VFW post 8729 and American Legion Post 110; he also served as a commander of the Lake City American Legion, and the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 5.

Jim is survived by two daughters, Nancy (Ronald) Quamme of Wanamingo, Gladys (Robert) Gunderson of Lake City; one son, Robert of Rochester; 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.

A Funeral Service will be held Monday at 1:00 pm at Bethany Lutheran Church in Lake City with Rev. Bruce Stam officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 5 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the service at the church. Military Rites will be handled by the Lake City American Legion Post 110 and Lake City VFW Post 8729.
