Edwin Fay Berryman was born June 18th, 1942 to Ruby and Harry Berryman and passed peacefully the morning of June 9th, 2023 with family at his side.
Ed is survived by and forever will be missed by his wife, Bonnie, married nearly 59 years and his daughters Jena Ogston and Jana Faragher (host daughter Susi Lima); son-in-laws, Kent Ogston and Bill Faragher and grandchildren Kaelin and Evan Ogston and Kitridge and Monarch Faragher. He is preceded by his brothers, Bob, Roger and Dick and survived by his two sisters, Donna Samuelson and Joan (Don) Hall and sister-in-law Kathleen.
From a young age, his mother remarked Ed was consistently busy, mischievous and incredibly handy. He started his young career fixing dishwashers and ended as a Sales Project Manager for IBM. Ed would take apart anything that had a motor owning over 50 vehicles and likely fixed all of them. He enjoyed sports where at the age of 60, he learned how to barefoot waterski and started competing in ranch rodeo. Growing up in Wyoming, he was a true cowboy at heart.
He loved all travel and adventures, always including his close family and friends. Notably, he converted a school bus into a motorhome for his family traveling around the country extending from Alaska to Florida. Nothing was ever more important to him than family where reunions and seeing his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews were always a priority.
Notably, he loved his country serving two years in the Army and then leading the Pine Island American Legion for over 15 years as a volunteer, gambling manager and Commander. He kept busy with volunteering in numerous community organizations including the Pine Island Saddle Club, Friendship Wagon Train and County Sheriff's Posse.
The family would like to send gratitude to all of the staff at Zumbrota Care Center and also Rochester’s Season Hospice for their compassion and outstanding care during these last few months of life.
