Edwin E. Bartelt

Edwin E. Bartelt, age 83, of Zumbrota died on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at his home in Zumbrota. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 1:00 PM at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Zumbrota with Father Randal Kasel officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the mass at the church.
Edwin Ervin Bartelt was born on December 5, 1930 in Rosemount, MN to Richard H. and Georgia A. (nee Methner) Bartelt. Edwin's father worked for the railroad and they lived in Rosemount and Mazeppa before settling in Zumbrota as Eddie was growing up. He graduated from Zumbrota High School in 1949. Eddie worked as a projectionist at the State Theater in Zumbrota for many years. He also worked at the local paper, typesetting and running the printing press and doing whatever job needed to be done. Eddie was known for his ability to repair and restore old clocks, pocket watches and older wrist watches. He was able to make them run like a top. Eddie was an active member of St. Paul's Catholic Church.
Eddie is survived by many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Georgia.
