Duard M. Svee, age 80, of Zumbrota died on Saturday morning, September 8, 2012 at the Zumbrota Health Services. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 2:00 PM at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Zumbrota with Father Randal Kasal officiating. Inurnment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at the church.
Duard Marshall Svee was born on October 20, 1931 in rural West Concord, MN to G. Marshall and Carolyn (nee Zeller) Svee. Duard graduated from West Concord High School in 1949. On February 13, 1954 he married Marie Mullenbach. Duard served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea. He worked at IBM for over thirty years until his retirement. Duard is survived by his wife, Marie; daughters, Marci Nagel of Rochester and Alayne Svee of Hastings; grandchildren, Brett Nagel of Hamden, CT, Jeff Nagel of Minneapolis and Alexandra Rueber of River Falls, WI; sisters, Janis Ray of West Concord, Evelyn (Alex) Lykkegaard of Cedar Rapids, IA and Marilyn Dahms of Mantorville. Duard was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and Russell Weis; niece, Brenda Weis and brother-in-law, Charles Dahms.
