Douglas Marvin Callstrom, 75, of Red Wing, died Thursday, July 25, 2024 at his home. He was born November 1, 1948 in Red Wing to Vincent and Arlene (Lindell) Callstrom. He graduated from Goodhue High School, class of 1967. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during Vietnam. On August 27, 1974 he married Bonita Stumpf at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hay Creek. Doug drove milk truck for Marigold in Red Wing until he bought his own truck. After he sold his truck, he went to work for Kemps in Farmington where he worked until his retirement. Doug enjoyed fishing and working in the garden. He also like to cheer on the MN Twins and the MN Vikings. He is survived by his children; Tricia (Mark Janski) Callstrom and Chad (Tiffany Schlichting) Callstrom; four grandchildren, Cody, Meya, Carson and Blake; one great-granddaughter, Knolly; three sisters, Sharon Duden, Janet Matthees, and Judy (Roy) Lodermeier; as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nita; and brother, Keith Callstrom. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Reverend Lowell Sorenson officiating. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, Red Wing and one hour prior to the service at church.
