Dorothy Ryan

Dorothy G. Ryan age 66 of Lake City died Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at home surrounded by family, after a courageous two year battle with cancer. Dorothy was born March 16, 1940 in Lake City, MN to Ervin & Frances (Wiebusch) Meyer. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Lake City in 1957. After graduating she worked at the Mayo clinic in Rochester for four years. She also worked as a Flight Attendant for Northwest Orient Airlines. She married Earl Ryan June 10, 1967 at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church, in West Albany Township. They lived and farmed in Gillford Township until moving to Lake City in 1991. She was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Lake City. She is survived by her husband, Earl, two sons, John of Lake City, Mark (Karen) of Lake City; one daughter Marie (John) Mueske of Milwaukee, WI; three grandchildren, Kaylin Solum, Madie & Jack Ryan; one sister Janis Strawmatt of Red Wing; a brother, Charles (Lorie) Meyer of Byron. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Matthew, and a sister, Arlys Dammann. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Lake City with Father James Russell officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary?s Catholic Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 5 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the service at the church.
