Dorothy Monica Lynch

Dorothy Monica Lynch, 89, of Lake City, peacefully passed away January 30, 2013 at Mayo Health Systems Lake City Hospital. She was born May 4, 1923 in St Paul to James and Amelia (Johnson) Huspek. After graduating from high school she began working for her dad at Huspek and Sons Reality, and later worked at City Service Oil Co in St. Paul, where she met her future husband, John Lynch. She married John "Russ" Lynch on April 24, 1954 in St. Paul. They moved to Rochester and later to Fargo, where she worked in the schools and sold Avon products. Later they moved to Stillwater, where she worked at St. Michael's Catholic School as a teacher's aid, and worked at Jandas Department Store. After 32 years in Stillwater they moved to Cannon Falls for several years and finally to Lake City in 2006. She was a member of St Michael's Catholic in Stillwater. She enjoyed road trips with her husband after retirement, playing cards, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren
Dorothy is survived by her husband, John "Russ" Lynch of Lake City; two sons, William R. (Kelly Conrad) Lynch of Hudson, WI and Robert (Michelle) Lynch of Lake City; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Amelia Huspek; siblings, Lucille Juenemann, James C. "Bud" Huspek, and Richard Huspek.
A Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City with Father Joseph Pete officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Lake City, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
