Dorothy Fieck

A memorial service for Dorothy A. Fieck will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Homestead United Methodist Church with the Rev. Becky Jo Thilges officiating. Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery in Douglas, MN. Mrs. Fieck, 78, a lifetime Rochester resident, died Saturday (Jan. 13, 2007) at Meadow Lakes Senior Living. Dorothy A. Foster was born Dec. 17, 1928 in Rochester and attended Rochester Schools. On Dec. 7, 1944 she married Jack S. Fieck. Mr. Fieck was a retired Olmsted County Deputy Sheriff. He died Oct. 18, 2006. Mrs. Fieck was a longtime homemaker. She worked for the Mayo Clinic in Laboratory Medicine at St. Mary?s Hospital for 20 years until her retirement. She was a member of Homestead United Methodist Church where she had been a Sunday School Teacher, and the Elks Lodge #1091. She enjoyed dancing. Survivors include two daughters, Susan M. (Richard) Schuett, and Lori A. (Fred) Wright of Rochester; two sons, Terry L. (Doraine) of Everett, Wash., and Steven J. of Spring Hill, Fla.; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A daughter, one sister, and one brother preceded her in death. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Mahn Family Funeral Home ? Rochester Chapel and one hour before the service at the church. Memorials are suggested to Seasons Hospice.
