Doris Elizabeth Fuller, 87, of Red Wing, died Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at the St. Crispin Living Community. She was born August 27, 1931, in Arkansaw, Wisconsin, to Raymond and Elizabeth (Hoyt) Foster. In 1950 she was married to Frank Weissinger, Jr. and was blessed with 7 children; they later divorced. She was employed at a government electrical facility in Massachusetts, where she lived until coming to Red Wing in 1967. While in Red Wing she worked at Red Wing Shoe Company and Mary's Supper Club. In 1968, she married David Fuller and together they had a daughter; they later divorced. Doris was a member of the Church of St. Joseph and the Maiden Rock Legion. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, fishing, gambling and spending time with her family and was rarely without a hot cup of coffee.
She is survived by 6 children, Sharon (Tom) Conroy of Red Wing; David (Kim Kilbride) Weissinger of Pepin, WI, Diane (Steve) Weisenbeck of Alma, WI, Janice (Jerry) Cody of Balsam Lake, WI, Pam (Jack) Sandberg of Mondovi, WI and Michelle (Cale Swanson) Schmitz of Red Wing; daughter-in-law, Terri Weissinger of Millville; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and siblings, Ida Seipel of Plum City, WI, Art Foster of Mondovi, WI and Herb Foster of Pepin, WI.
She was preceded in death by siblings, Floyd and Hank Foster and Alice Brantner; 2 sons, Randy and Bruce Weissinger; grandchildren, Miranda and Dustin Weissinger and a great-granddaughter, Alexis Earney.
Mass of the Resurrection will be 11 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2019 with Father Thomas M. Kommers presiding. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at a later date in Arkansaw, Wisconsin. Arrangements handled by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
