Doris E. Bartsh age 101, of Zumbrota, died peacefully on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Zumbrota Health Services. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 11:00 am at United Redeemer Lutheran Church in Zumbrota with Reverend Dr. Marggi Pleiss-Sippola officiating. The visitation will begin at 9:30 am prior to the start of service on Friday. Burial will be in the Zumbrota Cemetery.
Doris Evelyn Anderson was born on July 19, 1917 in Cambridge to Eddie and Anna Anderson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith. Doris enjoyed her family and friends, golf, traveling and dancing especially at the VFW and Sandy Point. Hanging clothes outside on the line on a beautiful day was a joy. She loved to cook and was known for her Swedish meatballs, goulash and lefse. She was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary. For the past three years she resided at Zumbrota Health Services and was fondly known as Grandma Doris.
Doris is survived by her son, Dale Olson of Zumbrota; step-daughter, Frances (Jim) Ladlie; step-son, Richard (Joanne) Bartsh; grandchildren, Hunter Olson, Scott Ripley, Kara Grant, Kellie Benning, Karissa Dolan, Kyle Ladlie, Allison Walsh, Tony Bartsh, and Tyler Bartsh; and 17 adoring great-grandchildren.
Doris was preceded in death by daughter, Sherry Olson Ripley; and her husbands, Leslie Olson and Lowell Bartsh; and four siblings.
