Donna Mae Stumpf, 86, of Red Wing, died Thursday, December 30, 2010. She was born at home in Wells Creek on Feb. 8, 1924 to Harry and Nora (Nelson) Stumpf. She lived in the Red Wing area all of her life, having spent many years on the family farm until they moved to Red Wing in 1959. After her parents died, she lived with her sister Dolores "Sis" Lamb in Frontenac and when Dolores died she moved to Topeka, Kansas to live with her nephew Jerry and Jan Wiech for the past ten years. She loved animals, especially her dogs and she loved flowers.
She will be missed by her nephews, Gary (Lisa) Stumpf of Wabasha, Jim (Helen) Wiech of Lake City, Jerry (Jan) Wiech of Topeka, Kansas and Jon (Gloria) Wiech of Frontenac; nieces, Jackie Klaes (Dick) Solheim of Red Wing and Janice (Steve Meads) Foss of Alaska and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Dennis Stumpf and Dolores Lamb.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Reverend Paul Otto officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jim and Jon Wiech, Gary Stumpf, Dick Solheim and Loren Born. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
