Donna Mae Edquist

Donna Mae Edquist, 84, of Red Wing, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at her residence. She was born October 4, 1928 in South St. Paul to Milo "Mike" and Edith (Johnson) Nord. She grew up in South St. Paul and graduated from high school there. After high school she moved to Red Wing where she lived with her aunt. For many years she worked at the Little Folks store in Red Wing. On March 5, 1949, she married Carl "Bob" Edquist. Donna was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she had taught Sunday school and been a part of its Ladies Aid. She also volunteered at the Red Wing Hospital and at Goodhue County Home Extension group. In her free time, she enjoyed golfing, playing cards, gardening, traveling and movies. Most of all, she enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and family.

She is survived by son, Kip (Susan) Edquist; daughter, Cindy (Fred) Stumpf; grandchildren, Travis (Angie Wells) Edquist and Ryan Edquist, Luke (Charissa) Stumpf and Matthew (Courtney Johnson) Stumpf; great-grandchildren, Ava and Brynn Stumpf; brother, Dale Nord and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2002 and her parents.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Reverend Lowell Sorensen officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Urn bearers will be Marlys Alms, Joan Moldenhauer, Gwen Riegelman, Jeanette Stroupe, Lorraine Bremer and Alice Tackaberry. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
