Donald Leroy Baker

A memorial service for Donald 'Duffy' Baker will be held Saturday October 11th at 1:00 PM at Zumbro Lutheran Church in Rochester with the Reverend Wayne Vogt officiating. Mr. Baker, 54, of Byron, died Saturday October 4, 2008 at Seasons Hospice in Rochester.
Donald Leroy Baker was born March 3, 1954 in Minneapolis. Raised in Rochester, he was a graduate of Mayo High School. On June 16, 1984 he married Mary Erickson in Rochester. He owned and operated 'Don Baker Siding & Windows' in Rochester, working for thirty-four years in home remodeling. He enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, cooking and grilling.
Duffy is survived by his wife, Mary Baker, of Byron; four sons, Shane (Amy) Baker of Owatonna, Zachary, Drew, and Blake Baker, all of Byron; mother, Beverly Baker of Rochester; three grandchildren, McKenna, Lucas, and Kamryn Baker, all of Owatonna; four brothers, Tim Baker of Kasson, Terry (Angie) Baker of Arvada, Colorado, David (Carolyn) Baker of Millville, and Tom (Patty) Baker of Rochester; and a sister, Penny (Mike) Bowe of Kasson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elwin 'Sonny' Baker; and a brother, Tracy Baker.
Friends may call from 11:00 AM on Saturday until the time of the service at the church. If so desired, memorials may be directed to the family or to Seasons Hospice.
