Donald Lee Halverson, 50, Diamond Bluff, died Thursday, January 25, 2007, at his home. He was born December 14, 1956, in Red Wing, Minnesota, the son of Orvis and Shirley (Funk) Halverson. After graduation from Ellsworth High School, he drove semi-trailer for a trucking company in Red Wing and worked for Esdaile Box Company and Webster Lumber Company in Bay City. For the past twenty years, he has worked as a driver and equipment operator for Holst Excavating Company in Prescott. He married Kim LeMon and they later divorced. On August 2, 2003, he married Joan Rother at Eidsvold Lutheran Church in Esdaile. They lived in the Prescott area and then moved to Diamond Bluff. He enjoyed spending time with his wife working on projects in his shop and motorcycling. He drove his Harley-Davidson annually to the Sturgis Rally. Survivors include his wife, Joan; one son, Jermie (Karrie Tuzzolino) Halverson of St. Paul; step-daughters, Kristen Larson of Ellsworth, and Heather Larson of Hager City; two sisters, Sandra Halverson of Prescott, and Eileen (Lynn) Asher of Lindstrom, Minn.; two brothers, Philip Halverson of Bay City, and Francis (Doris) Halverson of Bay City; nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; one sister, Nancy Marsh, and an infant niece. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday, January 29, 2007, at Eidsvold Lutheran Church with Reverend Chad Kohlmeyer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 2 ? 6 p.m. Sunday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and one hour prior to the time of services Monday at the church. Pallbearers will be Jermie, Philip and Francis Halverson, Bill Holst, Josh and Jake Beeler, David Rother and Richard Johnson.
