Donald Dean Dolden, 75, of Bay City formerly of Rochester, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the Seminary Home in Red Wing from complications of Parkinson's disease. He was born July 10, 1938 in Dodge Center to Albert and Ruby (Lindberg) Dolden. He graduated from Rochester High School in 1956 before attending the University of Minnesota school of Pharmacy graduating in 1961. He married Susan Kathleen Grassle in 1979 in Rochester. He worked for Weber Judd Pharmacy before moving onto the K-Mart Pharmacy in Rochester, where he worked for 25 years. After his retirement he worked part time for the Target Pharmacy in Red Wing. He was a past active member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Rochester. He was a member of the American Pharmacists Association, the Minnesota Pharmacists Association and the Optimist International Club.
Survivors include his wife, Susan of Bay City; two sons, Steven (Kathy) Dolden of Frontenac and Jeffrey Dolden of Naples, Fla.; one sister, Phyllis Jacobs of Rochester; two brother-in-laws, Richard Grassle of Rochester and Charles Grassle of Greenfield, Ill. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral will be 1pm Saturday, July 20, 2013, at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Rev. Mary Eide officiating. Burial will be in the Bay City Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
