Dolores Frances Lanners

Dolores Frances Lanners, 79, passed away peacefully to her Lord Jesus on Tuesday morning, January 26, 2016, at Cottagewood Senior Communities.
She was born February 18, 1935 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin to William and Eleanor (Bleskacek) Schemenauer. She attended St. Charles Parochial School and McDonell High School in Chippewa Falls.
Dolores married Donald Lanners on June 1, 1957 in Chippewa Falls. They moved to Rochester in 1968 and continued to raise a family. She was a homemaker for most of her life and enjoyed being in the Avon President's Club for many years. Dolores was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and enjoyed being in the CCW St. Monica's Guild.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Lanners of Rochester; children, Dale (Anne) Lanners of Bridgeport, Michigan, Daniel (Kris) Lanners of Schenectady, New York, Diana (Teresa Staub) Lanners of Mazeppa, Minnesota, Debra (Jude) Andersen of Cologne, Minnesota, and Darlene (Greg) Lauinger of Rochester, Minnesota. Also surviving are three grandchildren, two sisters, and three brothers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and an infant daughter, Catherine.
Dolores was a beloved wife and mother, and will be missed by her family and friends. Many thanks to her caregivers at Cottagewood Senior Communities and Heartland Hospice.
A funeral mass will be celebrated by Father Paul Nelson at Saint Pius X Catholic Church on Tuesday February 2nd at 11:00 AM. The visitation will be Monday February 1st from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Rochester Chapel, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Lunch will follow after the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Saint Pius X Catholic Church, 1315 12th Avenue NW, Rochester, MN 55901.
