Dolores `Dee` Anderson

Dolores ?Dee? Helen Anderson, 83 of Red Wing, formerly of Welch, died Thursday at her home. She was born on January 30, 1924, in Wright County, Minnesota to Edward and Clara (Kammerer) Treichler. She graduated in 1942 from Cannon Falls High School and on August 18, 1945 she was married to Glenn Anderson at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church. They operated the Welch Creamery until 1962. For 16 years she worked for Smead?s in Hastings, retiring in 1985. Glenn died on March 3, 1985. She was a member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church where she was very active in many church activities. She volunteered in many organizations and was always available to help people out. She was a care giving person and always kept active in her daily life. Survivors include three children; Glenn (Mary) Anderson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Craig (Vicky) Anderson of Chanhassen and Becky (Terry) Schmitz of Appleton, Wisconsin; six grandchildren, Jenny, Rachel and Hannah Anderson, Michael (Rachel), Christopher and Matthew Schmitz; three great grandchildren and one sister, Bernice (Paul) Olson of Welch. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Lester ?Butch? Treichler.Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church with Rev. Bob Albing officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Memorials are preferred to the church.
