Diane Siems

Diane M. Siems age 58 of Mazeppa died on Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at the Rochester Methodist Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Saturday, August 5, 2006 at 10:30 A.M. at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Mazeppa with Father Robert G. Meyer officiating. Inurnment will be in Oronoco Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, August 4, 2006 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Mahn Family Funeral Home ? Larson Chapel in Zumbrota and on Saturday one hour prior to the mass at the church. Diane Marie Siems was born on March 18, 1948 in Red Wing, MN to Theodore R. and Mary M. (nee Huberty) Siems. She grew up in rural Mazeppa and attended country school for two years. She graduated from Mazeppa High School in 1966. She attended Winona State College and graduated in 1970. Diane worked several jobs before she started working for the Mayo Clinic in 1976. Diane worked in several areas at the Mayo Clinic before becoming a research study coordinator. Diane worked in pediatrics research pertaining to Behavioral Disorders and Learning Disabilities. Diane was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her nieces, nephews and family. Diane is survived by her mother, Mary Bergstralh of Mazeppa, two brothers, Jim (Ruth) Siems of Mazeppa and Eric (Debra) Bergstralh of Mazeppa, six nieces and nephews, Aaron, Adam and Carrie Bergstralh, Nick Culver, Cecelia and Christina Siems. Diane was preceded in death by her father, Ted, step-father, John Bergstralh and her grandparents. Honorary bearers are Aaron, Adam and Carrie Bergstralh, Nick Culver, Cecelia and Christine Siems, Mariam and Melorine Mokri. The family suggests memorials to Pediatric Research at the Mayo Clinic.
