Diane L. Bredehoft

Diane L. Bredehoft, 78, of Red Wing, took her first breath in Heaven at 10:25 a.m., on Monday, July 27, 2020 at St. Crispin Living Community. She was born June 10, 1942, in Goodhue, to Ronald and LaVerna (Meyer) VonBargen and graduated from Red Wing Central High. She married Ronnie Gerdes and they divorced. She later married Harlis Bredehoft Dec. 29, 1972 and they lived in Red Wing. She worked at Goodhue the County Jail, as a waitress at Nybo's and at Pizza Hut. She was a member of Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church and the Valley View Assembly of God Churches Senior Group. She enjoyed coloring, cross-stitching, arts and crafts, playing bingo and spending time with her family.
She is survived by 2 children, Sheila (Tim) Olander and David Gerdes; 6 grandchildren, Tate, Jake, Ryan, Chris, Kelly and Justin; 10 great-grandchildren, Khrystina, Kayden, Diana, Caleb, Evelyn, Beth, Nora, Isabell, Gilbert and Gabriel; 3 siblings, Carol (Larry) Schaffer, Betty (Kevin) VonBargen and Leon VonBargen and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Harlis in 1992.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 31 at Burnside Cemetery. A visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, July 30, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Masks and social distancing are required. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
