Diana Mae Linquist

Funeral services for Diana Linquist will be held Monday November 3rd at 11:00 AM at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Rochester. The Reverend Charles Ortloff will officiate. Mrs. Linquist, 75, of Rochester, died Friday October 31, 2008 at Samaritan Bethany Home on 8th in Rochester.
Diana Mae Hermel was born December 5, 1932 in Waterville. Raised in Waterville, she was a graduate of the public schools there. She attended teachers' college in Mankato, and taught elementary school in Bayport and Mound, Minnesota for seven years. She married Donald Linquist on March 24, 1956 in Waterville. Mrs. Linquist has resided in Rochester the past forty years.
She was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, and its Rachels Circle. She also participated in league bowling.
She is survived by her sons, Paul (Bonnie) Linquist of Prescott, Wisconsin, and Matthew (Paige) Linquist of Rochester; a daughter, Charmaine (James) Tewalt of Pine Island; three grandchildren; and two brothers, Lyle (Susan) Hermel, and Doug Hermel, both of Waterville. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2004, and a grandson.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.
If so desired, memorials may be directed to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Samaritan Bethany Foundation, or Seasons Hospice.
