Diana Lynn "Missy" Fortuna, 50, Red Wing, died Thursday, February 24, 2011, at the Red Wing Health Center. She was born January 31, 1961 in Red Wing, the daughter of Arnold and Donna (Haske) Sward. She attended Red Wing schools. She loved flowers, animals, the gift of gab, cooking shows, sitting at Levee Park watching the boats and she was an avid Minnesota Twins fan.
Survivors include her parents, Donna and Richard Langworthy of Red Wing; four brothers: Gary (Donna) and David (Bonnie) Sward all of Red Wing, Steve (Elaine) Sward of Diamond Bluff and Gale Sward of New York Mills; two sisters: Debra Sammon and Lisa Sward, both of Hager City; two daughters: Sheena Meeker and Cristina Fortuna, both of Arizona; one son, Jake Gerdes of Hager City; one granddaughter, Whitney of Arizona; many nieces and nephews; and her friend, James Torrey of Red Wing. She was preceded in death by her father, Arnold Sward and two brothers, Allen and Dean Sward.
Memorial service will be 2 p. m. Thursday, March 3, 2011 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Reverend Kristen Schlauderaff officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel is handling arrangements.
