Dennis Lee Ferguson

- Dennis L. "Fergy" Ferguson, age 68, of Rochester, died Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Hospital - Rochester, Methodist Campus.
Dennis Lee Ferguson was born February 2, 1947 in Chatfield, MN to Herbert and Madelyn (Holtegaard) Ferguson. He was raised in Oronoco and Rochester and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1965. On April 8, 1978 he married Pam Zieman in Rochester, she survives. Dennis worked in construction in the Rochester area for 37 years, retiring in 2003. He worked as a brick tender for many years for companies including Mortenson Construction, Bor-Son Contruction, Alvin E. Benike, Inc., and Weis Builders. He also worked in construction in Florida for many winters. He enjoyed sports, slow pitch and fast pitch softball, and baseball. Participating in many regional and national tournaments. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed going to the casino.
Survivors include his wife, Pam, his son, Troy of Rochester; his mother, Madelyn DeRuiter of Rochester; sisters, Beverly Ferguson of Minnetonka, MN; Helen (Roy) Radke of Rochester; Sue Kuehn of Rochester; and Virginia (Jeff) Johnson of West Concord, MN; brothers, Robert (Sue) Ferguson of Rochester; Gary (Clare) Ferguson of St. Clair, MN; Terry Ferguson of Pine Island, MN; Steven (Cheri) DeRuiter of Rochester; Lawrence (Jodi) Ferguson of Arcadia, WI; Neil (Lisa) Ferguson of North Las Vegas, NV; and Ronnie Burfield of Houston, MN. Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Herbert, and his sister, Kathryn.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
