Deloris E. (Hildestad) Ruzek

Deloris Eleanor Ruzek, 94, of Lake City, died Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the Lake City Care Center.  She was born December 29, 1927, one of 12 siblings, to Carl and Amelia (Christensen) Hildestad and grew up in the Lanesboro area where she attended school.  She was united in marriage to Odean Opsahl.  Together they had four children and later divorced.  She later married Kenneth Ruzek.  She is survived by 2 of her daughters, Sue Klein and Deb Olson, both of Lake City; grandsons, Bryan (Kathy) Huffman, Kevin (Sue) Huffman and Ken Huffman; great-grandchildren, Bryan Jr. (Katie) Huffman, Brad (Cassandra) Huffman, Cassandra (Tanner) Knudsen, William (Sarah) Huffman, Ben (Grace) Huffman, Michael Huffman; great-great-grandchildren, Reid, Olivia, Oaklee, Olivia, Owen, Keira, Elliott and Drew; and 2 sisters, Janet Peterson and Lilah Ellingson.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth; daughter, Dorene Geisler; sons, Terry and Jim Opsahl; grandson, Jeff Huffman; and siblings, Muriel, Carlene, Verna, Arlys, Ardell, Tilman, Bennette and infant twin sisters.

Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City.  Burial will be at St. Columbanus Catholic Cemetery in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota.
