Delores Kenitz

Delores Jean Kenitz, 68, of Red Wing, died Monday, August 17, 2009 at Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis. She was born June 14, 1941 in Zumbro Township, Wabasha County to Clarence and Gladys (Pickering) Kenitz. She attended Red Wing Schools. She worked at Candy Cane Daycare and in housekeeping at Fairview Seminary Home. She also delivered the Pioneer Press and the Red Wing Republican Eagle. She enjoyed taking drives in the countryside, pull tabs, and visiting with her neighbors at Maple Hills.

She is survived by four siblings, Lawrence Kenitz of Red Wing, Lois (Gerald) Nelson of Ellsworth, Elaine Giar of Red Wing, and Wayne (Sharon) Kenitz of Hollandale, Minnesota, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Clarence Jr., Ervin, Donald, Gerald, and Bruce, and one sister, Mary Lou Kenitz.

Private family services will be held. Burial will be held at a later date at Lakewood Cemetery in Lake City.
