Deliela Ann Staege, 66, of Red Wing, died Sunday, October 9, 2011 at the Fairview Red Wing Medical Center. She was born on April 18, 1945 in Red Wing to William and Olive (Crowther) Jennings. She attended schools in Red Wing and on November 9, 1963, she married Glen Staege at United Lutheran Church. She worked a number of years at the Red Wing Health Center and then for Norwood Promotional Products. She was a member of United Lutheran Church and enjoyed crocheting and reading. Her family was very important to her and they recall how she enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and being with Glen.
Survivors include her husband, Glen; four children: William (Mary) Staege of Hager City, Kelly (Timothy Gleason) of Red Wing, Stephen Staege of Red Wing and Kandy (Timothy Thiesse) Ebert of Owatonna; 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren; one sister, Doris (Kermith) Clifford of Maiden Rock; four brothers: Daniel (Nancy) Jennings of Goodhue, Paul (LaVonne) Jennings of White Rock, Donald (Arlene) Jennings of Red Wing and Ronald (Patty) Jennings of Cottage Grove. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, David and Edward Jennings; three sisters, Irma Hillman and Isabelle Glines and an infant sister; and one great-grandson, Brady Jones.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, October 13, 2011, at United Lutheran Church with Reverend Randall Johnson officiating. Urnbearer will be Brent Krchnavy and Honorary Bearers will be Justin Krchnavy, Matt Ebert, Trevor Ebert, Alexander Adler and Stephen Staege. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p. m. Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and on Thursday for one hour prior to the service at the church.
