Deborah Gladys McGinley

A memorial service for Deborah McGinley will be held Thursday September 3rd at 7:00 PM at Mahn Family Funeral Homes, Rochester Chapel. The Reverend Lester Horntvedt will officiate. Burial, on Friday, will be at Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center. Ms. McGinley, 58, of Owatonna, died Monday August 31, 2015 at Mossy Creek REM, a special needs care facility in Owatonna, where she resided.
Deborah Gladys McGinley was born June 15, 1957 in Rochester to Leonard Sr. and Gladys McGinley. Raised in Dodge Center, she worked many years in various jobs in Dodge Center until moving to Owatonna about 25 years ago. She was an enthusiastic participant in Special Olympics, participating in track. She enjoyed bowling, music, coloring, movies, dancing, and word search puzzles.
She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Ronald McGinley of Waterloo, Iowa, Donna Mae (James) Capelle, also of Waterloo, Darlene (Gary) Peterson of Rochester, Minnesota, Roger (Cheryl) McGinley of Bertha, Minnesota, and Leonard (Renee) McGinley Jr. of Owatonna. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a sister-in-law, Judy McGinley of Hayfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Richard McGinley.
The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday evening.
