DeAnn M. Bellanger

May 19, 1962 — June 13, 2014

DeAnn Marie Bellanger, 52, of Minneapolis, died June 13, 2014, at her home. She was born May 19, 1962, in Cass Lake, to Delmar and Patricia (Demo) Campbell. She was a member of the Prairie Island Indian Community. She was a good cook who always made good meals for her family. She truly enjoyed being a grandmother and was a wonderful grandma to all of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Mathew Freeman; ten children, Brandon, Rachel and Richard Campbell, Victoria, Tishena and Leland "Petey" Cree, Suzelle and Markie Bellanger, Theresa Freeman and Delmar Campbell; many grandchildren; five siblings, Susan "Jane" Belcourt, Margaret Campbell, Billie Jo Lumbar, Kara Applebee, Charles Szmiot; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and was considered a mother to many others. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Campbell; daughter, Alice Campbell; two granddaughters, Nazaree English and Aryana Wolff; sister, Teresa Kingsbird and brother, Delmar Campbell, III.
Funeral Service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, June 19, 2014 at the Prairie Island Community Center with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 17 and continuing until the time of the service on Thursday. A second wake service will take place Thursday evening at the Bena Community Center in Bena, Minnesota. Burial will be Friday at 1pm at Lakeview Cemetery in Bena.
