Dawn Marie Hanson, age 45 of Longville, Minnesota, formerly of Red Wing, died on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at her mother's residence in Hager City, Wisconsin.

She was born on June 15, 1964 in Red Wing. She grew up in the Red Wing area and graduated from Red Wing Central High School. She then worked for Hager City Express for a few years before relocating to the Walker, MN area in 1989. She began working at Forestview Lodge where she met her lifelong companion, Brook Kinder. After Forestview closed in 2001, she began working at Huddle's Resort in Whipholt, Minnesota. Dawn enjoyed Nascar, her beloved cats, reading, and animals. She will be sadly missed by friends and guests of Huddle's Resort.

Dawn is survived by her mother, Pat and (Bill E.) Schroeder of Hager City; father Neil (Wendy) Hanson of Red Wing; special companion Brook Kinder of Longville; siblings Tim Hanson of Big Lake, MN, Nikki (Bob) Smith of Lake City, MN, Courtney (Adam) Snyder of Hager City, WI, Lindsay Schroeder (Nate Mansur) of Welch, MN, Will Schroeder (Kari Kuesel) of Hager City, WI; nieces and nephews Taylor Becker, Quinn Jacobsen, Dylan Hanson, Chase and Addie Snyder. She is also survived by her God-mother Karen Meier of Red Wing, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. Monday, August 24, 2009 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Reverend Kristen Schlauderaff officiating. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday August 23, 2009 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and also one hour prior to the service at church on Monday. Burial will be at a later date.
