Obituary: David Peterson

Funeral services for David C. Peterson will be Monday, August 27, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Mahn Family Funeral Home � Rochester Chapel with Rev. Terje Hausken officiating. Casketbearers will be Johnathan Peterson, Bradley Peterson, Roger Peterson, Dale Cole, Eric Judy and Tanner Stevens. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

David Peterson, age 51, of Rochester, died on Thursday, August 23, 2007 at his residence after a two year battle with cancer. He was born David Craig Peterson on October 8, 2007 in Fort Bragg, NC to LaVern and Deloris (Lawrence) Peterson. He attended school and graduated from Hamilton High School in Milwaukee. He worked in retail sales and on October 30, 1976 he married Patricia Lund in Milwaukee. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Milwaukee before moving to Rochester in 1980. David continued working in sales until cancer caused him to stop. He enjoyed traveling and woodworking.

David is survived by his wife, Pat, of Rochester, MN; two daughters: Jennifer (Keith) Johnson, of Colorado Springs, CO and Barbara (Joe) Trygstad, of Rochester, MN; three grandchildren: Drake, Tyler and Trevor Johnson; his mother, Deloris Peterson, of Rochester, MN; four brothers: Steven (Sue) Peterson, of Waukesha, WI, Mark (Karen) Peterson, of Richmond, VA, Gary (Heidi) Peterson, of Rochester, MN and Jeff (Carla) Peterson, of Chattanooga, TN; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, LaVern Peterson.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 26, 2007 from 5-8 PM and one hour prior to services at the chapel on Monday.
