David Allen Olson

David Allen Olson, passed away at age 82 and lived a good life. He was born July 19, 1938, to Truman & Deloris (Rebbe) Olson. After High School David joined the Marine Corp in 1958. David and Carol were married in Mason City, IA. On June 6, 1964 and raised two children. David was a very active and social person. He was a member of the Parachute Club of America and member at Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Rochester. He was a skydiving instructor, motorcycle enthusiast for over 20 years, self-taught musician, camping enthusiast, excellent dancer and comedian, and was an adopted brother of his native American Clifford Bad Moccasian family.

David is survived by his wife, Carol; son, Andrew (Sandy) Olson; daughter, Lynn (Gann) Karsten; grandchildren, Anna, and John Karsten; Samuel, Paul, Zeke, and Elizabeth Olson; brother, William (Rita) Olson; sisters, Nancy Schwartz, Janice (Kent) Hershey, Diane (Kenney) Sorenson, and Linda Petersen.

David is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Ronald Olson.

Memorial service will be held on Sunday at 2pm on August 30, 2020 at Oronoco City Park - 310 5th St. NW, Oronoco, MN. With a visit one-hour prior. Pastor Charlie Leonard will be officiating. Masks and social distancing are required due to family members with underlying conditions and covid-19.
