David C. Folly, age 74 of Lewiston, formerly of Zumbrota died on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Mahn Family Funeral Home - Larson Chapel in Zumbrota with Pastor David Krinke officiating. Inurnment will be in Zumbrota Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
David Clyde Folly was born on February 21, 1939 in Mattoon, IL to Clyde and Ruth (nee Grimm) Folly. He grew up in Mattoon and graduated from high school and college in Mattoon. In 1975 he moved with his parents to Zumbrota. David worked at Sears, Target and retired from Home Depot. He spent most of his free time caring for his ailing parents. For the past several years, David has lived at the Lewiston Villa Nursing Home. At the care center he enjoyed playing cards, reading the newspaper and conversing with other residents and going outdoors.
David is survived by his cousins, Lorraine (Orvin) Skovbroten and Mary Hermann, both of Zumbrota, Jane (Babe) Post of Rochester, Alice (Ken) Lother of Zumbrota and Boyd Fuller of Colorado.
David was preceded in death by his parents and uncles and aunts, Walter (Cora) Grimm and Adolf "Ade" (Lillian) Grimm.
