David Arnold Diderrich

March 13, 1939 — October 28, 2009

David Diderrich, age 70, of Pine Island died Thursday, October 28, 2009 at his
home due to complications from cancer.

David Arnold Diderrich was born March 13, 1939 in St Charles to Arnold and
Alvina (Frisch) Diderrich. He graduated from St. Charles High school. On
October 10, 1960 he began employment at IBM. While there he held various
positions in manufacturing, retiring after more than 30 years. On May 9, 1970
David married Dorothy Kline and they made their home in the Pine Island area.
They enjoyed traveling, fishing, and raising their family. David also made
frequent fishing trips to Canada with friends. David enjoyed his hobby farm,
collecting and driving tractors, helping his sons with their 4-H Club projects,
and later spending time with his friends in his workshop, which he named
"Freedom Hall".

David is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Dorothy; two sons, Steven
(Alisa) Diderrich of Plainview and Daniel (Trisha) Diderrich of Rochester;
three grandchildren, Zachary, Abigail, and Madeline Diderrich; and sister,
Ardena (Don) Feils of Forest Lake. He is preceded in death by his parents and
his sister, Joanne Hynes.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday November 3, 2009 at 11 AM at
St. Michael's Catholic Church in Pine Island. Father Tim Dolan will be
officiating.

Visitation will be held from 4 PM until 8 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:30 PM
on Monday November 2 at Mahn Family Funeral Home - Mahler Chapel in Pine
Island and also one hour prior to the mass at the church.

Burial will be in Pine Island Cemetery.
