David Clark Case, 83, of Rochester, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 1, 2016.
Dave married Nancy (Caw) Kerr on February 3, 2003 and they made their home in Rochester, Minnesota.
Dave was born to Wilbur and Mildred (Ackley) Case on April 8, 1933, in Hamburg (Freemont County), Iowa. He attended school at Nebraska City High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy from October 1951 through January 1955. He served during the Korean Conflict as an Electronics Technician. He continued his education at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois. After completing college he was employed by IBM in System Engineering, Advanced Technology Development and Project Planning, until his retirement in 1991. During his employment at IBM, he worked in several states including Oregon, New York, California, Iowa, Texas, and Minnesota. After retiring from IBM, he became Office Manager for the Crafty Mouse in Rochester.
Dave had many interests including jigsaw, Sudoku, and many other puzzles. He was an avid sports enthusiast and especially enjoyed golfing with his friends, traveling with Nancy on Motorcoach Mystery Bus Tours, and spending time with family.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy of Rochester; step-children Scott (Julie) Raddatz, of Rochester; Tom (Penny) Raddatz, of Chesapeake, VA; Boe (Angela) Raddatz, of Wabasha, MN; grandchildren: Nicole (Dan) Crone, Brittany (Ben) Raddatz, Melissa Raddatz, Caroline Raddatz, Hunter Raddatz, and Autumn Raddatz. Dave is also survived by his favorite two cats, Lucy and Watson.
Per Dave's wishes, a family graveside service will be held a later date. Memorials can be sent to the American Heart Association or a charity of the donor's choice.
