Darrell Henry Hove, 61, of Hager City, Wisconsin, died Monday, May 30, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his family after a brief battle with cancer. He was born March 15, 1955 in Red Wing, to Henry and Adeline (Strusz) Hove and attended Red Wing Central High School. He married Kathy Boudreau and they had three children. They later divorced. On June 9, 1990, he was united in marriage to Kymm Moore. He was the deli manager at Econo Foods in Red Wing, working until his recent illness. He had also worked at Aramark and Perkins for many years. Darrell enjoyed time with family, friends and his pets-many he had rescued. He also enjoyed boating, camping, dancing, family games and cards. He was a member of United Lutheran Church.
Darrell is survived by his wife, Kymm of Hager City; daughters, Sheri (Craig) Lidgerding of Red Wing and Shelly Hove of Hopkins; sons, Shawn (Deon) Hove, Joe (Tiffany) Hove of Red Wing and David (Bobbi) Dozier of Michigan City, Ind.; grandchildren, Kathlynn, Kiarrah, Austin, Dillon, Ashley, Sarah, Aaron, Brayden, Ashden, Turner and Benny; siblings, Donald of Maiden Rock, Wis., Dale (Kathy) of Turtle Lake, Wis., Danny (Mary), David, Dean (Teresa) Hove all of Red Wing, Bonnie (Duane Hince) McKnight of Pepin, Wis., Barbara Marik, Beverly (Arnold) Miller and BeNita (Greg) Hove-Domke all of Red Wing and many nieces, nephews and many other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant siblings, Darwin, Beth Ann and Ruby; sister-in-law, Terri Hove and niece, Jodie Scheitel.
Funeral service will 11 a.m. Saturday, June 4, at United Lutheran Church with Rev. Karl Rydholm officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Burnside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
