Darrell John Glomski

Darrell John Glomski 71, of Lake City passed away peacefully on March 11th at Methodist Hospital in Rochester after a thirteen-year battle with multiple myeloma. In the face of adversity, he lived courageously and inspired others to do the same. An avid hunter and fisherman, he cherished time spent in nature and enthusiastically shared his passion with others. He loved God, his family, friends and his beautiful Minnesota. Darrell was born June 5, 1950 in Wabasha, MN to John & Eleanora (Brehmer) Glomski. He graduated from St. Felix High School and joined the Airforce in 1970. In 1973 he married Ardith Preston in Valley Stream, New York. He worked as an electronic technician for IBM where he received numerous awards. After leaving IBM he was hired by Western Digital and finally Benchmark from which he retired.

Darrell is survived by his wife, Ardith of Lake City; children, Karyn (Lonny) Moechnig of Lake City, John (Christine) Glomski of St. Augusta, MN, David (Amy) Glomski of Lake City; grandchildren, Chase, Hudson, Cole, Jackson, Isabella, Annika, Nolan, Mason; father, John Glomski; siblings, Dale (Sandy) Glomski, John (Jean) Glomski, Vickie (Mike) Wise, Mark (Kendra) Glomski, Mike (Mary) Glomski. He was preceded in death by mother Eleanora.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 11 A.M. at Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City with Rev. Ty Spenst officiating. Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 at the funeral home. Friends may also call one hour before the service. The service will be Live Streamed on the Mahn Family Funeral Home Facebook page at 11 am Wednesday. Memorials preferred to Mayo Clinic Multiple Myeloma Research.
