Darlene L. Freiheit

Darlene L. Freiheit age 48 of Mazeppa died on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 in a motor vehicle accident in rural Mazeppa. A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, March 16, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Mahn Family Funeral Home - Larson Chapel in Zumbrota. Private inurnment will be in the spring. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday one hour prior to the service.
Darlene Lee Nooker was born on January 14, 1960 in Manitowoc, WI to Donald and Dorothy (nee Kubsh) Nooker. She grew up in the Manitowoc/Two Rivers area and attended Washington High School in Two Rivers. She earned her welding certificate from Lakeshore Technical College in Cleveland, WI. She worked as a welder for several years, until an injury at work required her to switch careers. She started working as an aide for an Eldercare Company in Manitowoc. On June 20, 1998 she married Jeff Freiheit at Lincoln Lutheran Church in rural Zumbro Falls. Darlene worked as a farmhand and homemaker. They moved to Mazeppa in 2000.
Darlene is survived by her husband Jeff, two sons, Joseph Rhodes of Lake City and Thomas Rhodes of Green Bay, WI, three grandchildren, Gina Provot, Alexis Rhodes and Corey Rhodes, three sisters, Donna (Clarence) Yelvington of Two Rivers, WI, Dianne Bryd of Manitowoc, WI, and Julie (Dennis) Carter of Two
Rivers, WI, three brothers, Ralph (Kay) Nooker of Mishicot, WI, Dennis (Marilyn) Nooker of Manitowoc, WI, and her twin brother, Donald Nooker Jr. of Sheboygan, WI, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
