Darlene Carol Flemming was born April 2, 1941 in Hutchinson to Otto and Ruth (nee Slipka) Flemming. She graduated from Glencoe High School in 1959. On November 14, 1959 Darlene married Arnold Draeger at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe. Darlene lived several places, all of which were in Minnesota and Wisconsin, during her marriage to Arnold, who managed lumber yards. Darlene attended Rochester Area Vo- Tech School, graduating with an Associates Degree in Accounting in 1981. She worked as an accountant at the Kahler Corporation in Rochester until her retirement in 1997. On January 3, 1999, Arnold died in Rochester, after 49 years of marriage. Darlene was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Zumbrota and the VFW Ladies auxiliary.
Darlene is survived by her daughter, Debra (Randall) Husser of Rochester; two granddaughters, Rachael (Aaron) Palmer of Apple Valley and Shelby Husser of Rochester; her mother, Ruth Nelson of Buffalo Lake; two brothers, Duane (Sue) Flemming of Glencoe and Dale (Judy) Flemming of Alexandria; one sister, Lou Ella Benson of Litchfield and seven nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold; her father, Otto; and one brother, Bud.
