Daniel Wayne Kern

Daniel Wayne Kern, 83, of Bay City, Wisconsin, died Friday, November 24, 2023 at the Ellsworth Care Center in Ellsworth, Wisconsin.  He was born June 1, 1940, to Alvin and Doris (Hoyt) Kern in Plum City, Wisconsin.  On May 21,1960, Daniel was united in marriage to Marlene Mary Johnson in Menomonie, Wisconsin. Daniel worked for 43 years for S.B. Foot Tanning Company until his retirement. He loved fishing on Lake Pepin with Marlene. Daniel also enjoyed deer hunting and elk hunting trips out west with his son and brother.

He is survived by his wife, Marlene; children, Debbie (Jim) Sullivan, Danny (Cyndi) Kern, and Shelly (Mike) Larson; grandchildren, Lucas Sullivan, Mikayla Sullivan, and Hunter Kern; great-grandchildren, Avery and Axel; and his sister, Phylis Krueger of Milaca, Minnesota. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Doris; and his brother, David.

A private family graveside service will be held at Bay City Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
