Dan Lee Seymour, 82, Red Wing, died Sunday, September 20, 2020, at Valentines Assisted Living in Red Wing. He was born on July 8, 1938, in Red Wing to Carl and Elvira (Johnson) Seymour. He graduated from Red Wing High School and on June 2, 1962, he was united in marriage to Marlene Anderson. He was employed for Siewert Construction, S.B. Foot Tannery and for 20 years at Dayco before retiring. He was a member of First Lutheran Church and the Leo C. Peterson American Legion Post #54. He was an avid Minnesota sports fan and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Dan is survived by his wife Marlene; one daughter, Lori Seymour of Apple Valley; one son, Jon (Evanne) Seymour of Red Wing; one granddaughter, Eve Seymour of Red Wing; many nieces and nephews; along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Carl, Thomas and David and two sisters, Jean Sticha and Mary Lou Greske.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, October 1, 2020, at First Lutheran Church in Red Wing followed by a private family service. Social distancing and masks are required. The service will be lived streamed on First Lutheran Church’s website www.firstlutheranrw.org. Burial will be at the Oakwood Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Memorials are preferred to First Lutheran Church in Red Wing.
