Obituary Notice Dallas Heins Dallas John George Heins, 77, of Frontenac, died Friday, September 1, 2006. He was born March 3, 1929 in rural Lake City to Claus and Louise (Tombarge) Heins and attended country schools in the area. He married Frances Santelman on May 14, 1950 at St. John?s Lutheran Church in Frontenac. He worked at Marigold Foods in Red Wing for 37 years, retiring in 1990. He had been a member of St. John?s Lutheran Church in Frontenac, the Red Wing Jaycee?s and a past president of the Frontenac AAL. He enjoyed deer and elk hunting. He is survived by his wife, Frances of Frontenac; two sons, Daniel (Karen) Heins of Austin and Brian (Wendy) Heins of Mazeppa; five grandchildren, Micah Heins, Sarah (Bert) Ouimette, Philip, Diana and Dustin Heins; 2 sisters, Dorothy Bonde of Red Wing and Shirley Perkins of Red Wing and 2 brothers, Donald Heins of Red Wing and Robert Heins of South St. Paul. He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Christina. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 4 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, Red Wing, with Reverend Christopher Hoppe officiating. Burial will be at Frontenac Cemetery. Visitation will be for two hours prior to the service. Memorials preferred to donor?s choice.
