OBITUARY NOTICE
DALE F. STEFFENHAGEN
Dale Frederick Steffenhagen, 75, died Friday at Red Wing Health Center. He was born March 12, 1932 in Red Wing, the son of Charles F. and Marie (Hauschildt) Steffenhagen. He attended District 161 School in Flower Valley. He worked at the home farm in Flower Valley. He started farming on Hill Avenue with his brother Glenn in 1953 when their brother Richard was drafted. In 1956 he and Richard moved to Flower Valley to farm in partnership, until retiring in 1996. He was a life long member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Frontenac, he was a member of the National Farmers' Organization, he enjoyed woodcutting, riding tractors and ATV's and fixing things.
Survivors include three brothers: Richard of Red Wing, Glenn of Ellsworth and Kermith (Judy) of Stillwater; three sisters: Berdella (Robert) Cooper of Roseville, Lois Steffenhagen of Wausau, Wis and Judith (James) Moore of Lompoc, Calif; nine nieces and nephews; great nieces; great-nephews; and his godmother, Evelyn Kepka.
Funeral service will be 11 a. m. Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Frontenac with Reverend Christopher Hoppe officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery; Pallbearers will be Doug, Kevin and Jared Cooper, Tim and Christopher Steffenhagen and Dan Waletzko. Honorary pallbearers will be James J., Sean and Ryan Moore, Michelle Taub and Sandy Waletzko. Visitation will be 4-7 p. m. Monday at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and on Tuesday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to the church
