Dale Kendall Nash

Dale Kendall Nash, age 69 of Red Wing died on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. Dale was born on August 30, 1939 in Red Wing, the son of Luke and Anna (Westerberg) Nash. Dale attended Red Wing Schools and served eight years in the Army National Guard before working for Red Wing Shoe Company for 42 years. Dale was united in marriage to Darlene (Dar) Haas on January 8, 1966 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Red Wing. Dale was an avid fast-pitch softball pitcher who was proud of throwing a no-hitter during the state tournament. He enjoyed playing cards, throwing horseshoes, NASCAR, watching golf, hunting and fishing with his sons, nephews, and special friend Troy Balster, and spending time with his grandkids. After retirement Dale worked as a groundskeeper at Mount Frontenac Golf Course.

Dale is survived by his wife, Darlene (Dar) of Red Wing; sons David of Red Wing, Don (Theresa) of West Concord, and Dean Olson of Stafford, Virginia; six grandchildren; brothers James (Kay) Nash and Michael (Mary) Nash both of Red Wing; sister Linda (Richard) Brunkhorst of Red Wing; sister-in-law Muriel (Bill) Weber; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel in Red Wing with Rev. Gary Elg officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
