Dale Kenneth Dalbotten, 83, of Red Wing, died Saturday, March 12, 2016 at St. Crispin Living Community - Seminary Home. He was born on July 28, 1932 in Nerstrand, Minnesota to Halvor and Bernice (Kasa) Dalbotten. He attended schools near Dennison and his family later moved to Red Wing. On May 23, 1953 he married Gwen Carlson. For many years he worked in the Twin Cities. He was a member of United Lutheran Church. He enjoyed motorcycling, snowmobiling, traveling and was a gun enthusiast and a life member of the Red Wing Gun Club.
Survivors include his wife, Gwen, one son, Dean (Diana) Dalbotten of Minneapolis; one daughter, Carlene (Ronald) Krueger of River Falls, Wisconsin; one grandson, William (Skylar) Dalbotten of St. Paul; three great grandchildren, Eric, Ramona and Theodore; one brother, Ronald Dalbotten of Dayton, Ohio; one sister Virginia McGannon of Kenyon and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Harvey.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Reverend Justin Boeding officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery.
