Cynthia Rae Crouse

A memorial service for Cynthia Crouse will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Rochester Chapel. The Reverend Beth Perez of the United Methodist Church in Fountain will officiate. Mrs. Crouse, 53, of Fountain, died Wednesday August 24, 2011 at Saint Mary's Hospital in Rochester.

Cynthia Rae Coppe was born September 11, 1957 in Hennepin County, the daughter of Milton and Maxine Coppe. Raised in Rochester, she was a 1975 graduate of John Marshall High School. She attended Rochester Voc. Tech. for a year, and then began working as a secretary for Action Realty. She married Steve Sorenson and they were later divorced. On August 6, 1988, in Fountain, she married Jim Crouse. From 1989 to 1999 she worked as a secretary for the Gehling Auction Company. In 2000 she received a kidney transplant and she retired due to health concerns.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Fountain, a former Job's Daughter, and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Preston.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Crouse of Fountain; a son, Chad (Sheridan) Sorenson of Rochester; two step-sons, Patrick (Julie) Crouse of Big Lake, and Ryan (Jenny) Crouse of Eagan; her mother, Maxine Coppe of Rochester; five grandchildren; and a brother, Jeff Coppe of Rochester.

She was preceded in death by her father, Milton Coppe.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
