Cyndee Lee Cantrell, age 56 of Red Wing, passed into life eternal on Friday, April 25, 2014 at the Seminary Home. She was born on September 19, 1957 in Red Wing to Ronald and Barbara (Larson) Anway. A happy little girl who grew into a generous, loving woman, Cyndee made certain no one who knocked on her door left hungry, lonely, or unloved. When tough times came to those she loved, her home was always a soft place to land. Her house was a showcase for her vast, ever-expanding collections of dolphins and angels - a reflection of her childlike hope and her playful spirit. Cyndee took real delight in welcoming her nieces and nephews and made certain they knew they were treasured. Her time with us was too short and now she rests with the angels.
Cyndee is survived by her husband, Tommie Cantrell of Red Wing; step-sons, Dale (Brenda) Cantrell of Aransas Pass, TX and Walter Cantrell of Bastrop, TX; siblings, Mark Anway of Red Wing, Mike (Julie) Anway of Bay City, WI, Lori (Ronnie) Walther of Red Wing, and David (Rocelyn) Anway of Red Wing; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Reverend Kristine Holmgren officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
